Former University of Washington football coaches Kalen DeBoer and Steve Sarkisian sure have found comfy places to land.
By the numbers: DeBoer, who left the UW shortly after the Huskies came up short in last year's national championship, is now the sixth-highest paid coach in college football, according to the sports news outlet On3.
DeBoer is now making $ 10.3 million per year as the head coach at the University of Alabama.
Meanwhile, Sarkisian — who was UW's head coach from 2009 to 2013 — ranks fifth, raking in $10.6 million per year at the University of Texas.
The big picture: Both UW alums are outearning former NFL star Deion Sanders, who signed a new coaching contract last week with the University of Colorado that will net him $10 million this year.
DeBoer and Sarkisian also make more than University of North Carolina coach Bill Belichick, who previously won six Super Bowls with the New England Patriots.
