We need a new name for the Wells Fargo Center

Driving the news: Wells Fargo revealed this week that the bank has decided not to renew its naming rights deal with arena owner Comcast Spectacor. The agreement expires in August 2025.

• The building has been known as the Wells Fargo Center since 2010, but it had several names before that, including the First Union Center.

What they're saying: Philadelphia is already speculating about who or what could replace the bank, come next year's name change.

• Even newly minted beer baron Jason Kelce is eyeing the opportunity: "Sad to see Wells Fargo go, but I gotta say … heading to the Garage to catch a Sixers or Flyers game would be pretty f--king cool," he posted on X. (Kelce and his brother Travis are co-owners of Garage Beer.)

The bottom line: We need a new, memorable name for our arena.
