The New Orleans Saints take on the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football on Oct. 7.
Why it matters: The matchup will answer some big questions, like will New Orleans end its two-game losing streak, and will Taylor Swift get to watch her first Saints game?
The big picture: The Saints came out the gate of their 2024 season looking shockingly strong as the team and its coaches hope to shut down any grumbling about head coach Dennis Allen and quarterback Derek Carr.
- But the team stuttered against the Philadelphia Eagles and then against the Atlanta Falcons in weeks 3 and 4.
- Now, the 2-2 Saints go up against the Kansas City Chiefs — the 4-0 defending Super Bowl champions.
The intrigue: The Monday Night Football game is the hottest Saints ticket this season, according to Vivid Seats, a ticket reseller.
- The average sold price for a game ticket was $308, according Vivid Seats data sent to Axios earlier this week.
Will Taylor Swift be there?
Swift's Eras Tour takes over the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans later this month when the Saints head to Los Angeles to play the Chargers.
- But the pop star is expected to be in attendance Monday night to see her boyfriend, Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce, play the Saints, according to Us Weekly.

The New Orleans Saints travel to Arrowhead Stadium to play the Kansas City Chiefs. Kickoff is at 7:15pm.
