Chelsea Brasted has covered southeast Louisiana for about a decade. Much of that time was spent in a variety of roles at The Times-Picayune. Her work has also appeared in The New York Times, National Geographic, The Wall Street Journal, Bon Appetit and other publications. A New Orleans native who graduated from Ben Franklin High School and LSU, Brasted now lives in Algiers Point with her husband, their daughter and two rescue dogs.
