The holiday ratings are out for Chicago radio and, shocker, WLIT-FM's all-holiday music format took the top prize.
Between the lines: The holiday book covers most of December and the first week of January, which is when most stations do fill-in broadcasts and specials.
The bottom line: Radio stations don't take the holiday ratings seriously.
Biggest jump: WTMX-FM jumped up to sixth place.
Biggest drop: WXRT-FM. The station continued its recent ratings tumble and is now tied for 10th place.
Biggest surprise: WFMT-FM (classical) surged ahead of WBEZ-FM (NPR).
Caveat: These ratings don't break down precisely when people are tuning in or specific listener demographics.
Disclosure: Justin Kaufmann has worked for a number of these stations.
