Chilly Cubs fans attending this week's games will be greeted with some hot new Wrigley Field food options.

Why it matters: Tasty ballpark chow can enhance the game — especially when the weather's lousy and your team is losing.

The big picture: The Cubs have long tried to catch up with the White Sox when it comes to food quality, and these new offerings help narrow that gap.

Dig in: New Wrigley Field food offerings include:

  • Loaded nachos topped with spiced pulled chicken called chicken tinga, slow simmered beef barbacoa and a plant-based chorizo ($16.99).
