This Halloween, I predict Charlotte's streets will be crawling with Glindas and Elphabas, "Deadpool & Wolverine" duos and "Beetlejuice" characters.
Let's break the basic trends with some Charlotte-themed costumes that you can put together in minutes.
Charlotte Olympians
There are so many to choose from — Charlotte natives Anna Cockrell, Kaylyn Brown, Cierra Burdick and Steph Curry are just a handful of the many North Carolina athletes who took home Olympic medals this year.
What you'll need: Red, white and blue athleisure and a medal around your neck.

A "Love is Blind" contestant
Charlotte's season of "Love is Blind" is the most streamed season in franchise history. We saw some iconic moments play out across the Charlotte area.
What you'll need: A blindfold and golden chalice.

A social district cup
Earlier this year, Plaza Midwood became Charlotte's first social district. To participate you need to grab an open-container cup from a local business. If you're bar hopping in Plaza Midwood this Halloween, consider bringing a cup and being a cup.
What you'll need: An all-silver outfit and a social district sticker (pick one up at a participating business).

Post Malone at Lovin' Life Music Festival
The inaugural Uptown music festival brought A-list headliners to Charlotte; you could dress up as any of them, really — Stevie Nicks (all-black with a whimsical cape), or Noah Kahan (overalls and hair in braids).
What you'll need: Cut-off jean shorts, a Luke Combs t-shirt and a red solo cup.

Bryce Young
The Panthers might be starting quarterback Bryce Young this weekend for their game versus the Broncos but he's spent half of the season so far warming the bench.
What you'll need: An oversized Bryce Young jersey and a bench.

David Tepper
The Panthers and Charlotte FC owner has been in the national spotlight a couple of times for what the NFL calls "unacceptable conduct." Late last year he threw a drink at fans during the Panthers' 26-0 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars and a few months later he was caught on camera chatting with a Dilworth Neighborhood Grille employee about a sign out front.
What you'll need: A Panthers cap and a drink in hand (to throw on people).

A Carolina Ascent player
Carolina Ascent, Charlotte's new professional women's soccer team, kicked off its inaugural season this year.
What you'll need: This is your sign to buy a jersey if you haven't already.

LaMelo on his go-kart
Earlier this year, Hornets'xc player LaMelo Ball was spotted joyriding in a go-kart on the roof of his newly purchased $2.4M condo in Uptown.
What you'll need: A Hornets jersey, a go-kart made out of cardboard, and optionally the LaFrancé 1:1 sneakers.

CIAF art installation
The Charlotte International Arts Festival brought dozens of art installations to Uptown and Ballantyne this year, including these massive bubbles.
What you'll need: Spray paint or buy translucent beach balls and glue them onto a green outfit — bubbles on the green.

DaBaby at Garinger High School
Rap star and Charlotte native DaBaby shocked students at Garinger High School in east Charlotte earlier this year with a surprise performance.
What you'll need: A silver chain, a cap, a black shirt and shorts and a microphone.
