As dating app fatigue grows, in-person dating events are getting a lot of love in Seattle and around the country.

By the numbers: In Seattle, speed dating events increased 34% from 2023 to 2024, according to data Eventbrite shared with Axios.

Zoom out: Nationwide, an increasing number of people are "bridging online communities with real-world connections," says Eventbrite CEO Julia Hartz.

• Sober dating events gained traction around the country last year, making up 66% of all dating events in 2024, per Eventbrite data.
• And LGBTQ+ dating events grew 63% year over year.
