Washington voters are choosing their first new attorney general in 12 years, while also deciding eight other statewide elected offices.
Zoom in: In the attorney general's race, Republican Pete Serrano, the mayor of Pasco, faces Democrat Nick Brown, a former U.S. attorney for Western Washington.
- They are competing to replace Democrat Bob Ferguson, the current attorney general who is running for governor.


Former U.S. Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler faces King County Councilmember Dave Upthegrove in the race for this job managing the state's forests and other public lands.
Flashback: Herrera Beutler lost her seat in Congress in 2022 after being one of 10 House Republicans to vote to impeach former President Trump.
- Upthegrove, a Democrat, narrowly came out ahead of Republican Sue Kuehl Pederson in the August primary, in what was the closest statewide primary race on record in Washington state.


Two state senators, Democrat Patty Kuderer and Republican Phil Fortunato, are competing to replace outgoing Insurance Commissioner Mike Kreidler, in Washington's only other statewide race without an incumbent this year.
