If you're not already tuned in to the nation's beauty pageant circuit, you absolutely must check out the spectacle that is Miss Rodeo America.
- Specifically, the pageant's chap design contest is a thing of wonder.
Driving the news: Miss Rodeo Utah McKardy Kelly won the People's Choice Award for her dazzling duds at the pageant, held in early December in Las Vegas.
- The Utah Tech University student and daughter of Midway also was 3rd runner up overall and won the pageant's speech category.
Zoom in: The chaps feature shimmering sego lilies sewn with jewels onto white leather.
The big picture: The chaps designed by Miss Rodeo Texas won the judges' award.
