The 2023 Sundance Film Festival wrapped on Sunday, but that doesn't mean your chance to take in the movies is gone.
Here's a list of our top five festival films. Most will be streamable or in theaters later this year.

"Going Varsity in Mariachi," a documentary about the high stakes of high school mariachi competitions in Texas, is earning acclaim at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival.
Details: The film follows the highs and lows of Edinburg North High School's Mariachi Oro, whose 20 members vie to win an upcoming state championship.

Sundance adds Brett Kavanaugh documentary to 2023 slate

Sundance announced a surprise final addition to its 2023 film slate on Thursday.
Details: The documentary "Justice," directed by Doug Liman, centers around the #MeToo accusations brought against U.S. Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh in 2018 and the FBI investigation that followed. It premieres Friday at 8:30pm at the Park Avenue Theatre in Park City.
Sundance Film Festival has returned. Here's what's new this year

Thursday is the first day of the 2023 Sundance Film Festival.
- It will take place in Park City, Sundance Resort and Salt Lake City through Sunday, Jan. 29.
Why it matters: This is the first time the festival is being held in person after two years of going virtual due to the pandemic.

Utah filmmaker Jake Van Wagoner said it feels "surreal" to have his second feature film included in the Sundance Film Festival for the first time this year.
What's happening: His all-ages, sci-fi comedy, "Aliens Abducted My Parents and Now I Feel Kinda Left Out," is an official selection in the festival's kid's section.
- There were more than 4,000 feature film submissions across all categories.
