The genre-bending Post Malone, who owns a home in Cottonwood Heights, is preparing for his first country album "F-1 Trillion" on Aug. 16.
"Genres suck. … It's easier to catalog music that way. But at a certain point — and the cool thing is that it's moving towards this — why can't you mix all this together and make something that's truly unique to you."
The intrigue: The Texas native said he worked with Beyoncé remotely and over text for the country duet "Levii's Jeans," per the Times. Beyoncé sent a representative with the track to his Utah home, per the Times.
What's next: Malone kicks off the first show of his upcoming tour at the Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre on Sept. 8. Good luck getting tickets. They range from about $140 to over $1,000.
