Utahns can get their Sundance Film Festival tickets early

What they're saying: "We saw such a great response locally last year," festival director Eugene Hernandez told Axios, referring to the number of Salt Lake City screenings added during the festival last year to meet demand. "The audience is really coming out."

Two other ticket packages available now include:

• The Salt Lake City Pass for unlimited screenings and priority access to showings in the capital city for $550. Theaters include Broadway Centre Cinemas and the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center.
• The Festival Package provides 10 in-person screenings and early ticket selection for $850.

What's next: Next year's festival is slated for Jan. 23-Feb. 2.
