Now that summer is officially in the books, I'll bet you have plenty of free time to try a new slate of restaurants that just opened.
Here's the latest, including a few we have our eyes on, too:
🍸 Richmond Club (Richmond) is a French-ish bistro brought to you by the folks behind Double Dragon. Think chicken frites and scallop crudo alongside classic cocktails.
🎵 Far Cry (Humboldt) is a new listening bar focused on jazz and experimental music. It boasts a menu with a handful of vegetarian options — including an apple and Gruyère panini and sticky toffee pudding.
🍣 Sushi Fukami (Downtown) is a eight-seat omakase restaurant we've covered extensively. Expect an ultra-intimate experience and seasonal catches for $195 a spot.
🌮 The Callback (Hollywood) opened earlier this month across the street from Trader Joe's and features 7 carts, including Beto's Taqueria and Pelmeni Pelmeni. There's also an indoor cocktail bar.
🇲🇽 Bar Siete (Laurelhurst) is chef Oswaldo Bibiano's seventh Portland restaurant and specializes in regional Mexican dishes, including Guerrero-style moles and Yucatán-inspired roasted meats.
🍝 Bar Sprezzatura (Downtown) will open inside the Heathman Hotel later next month and will focus on Venetian-style small plates, handmade pastas and pizzettes alongside Pacific Northwest seafood, produce and meats from celebrity chef Michael Mina.
🥐 JinJu Patisserie (Eliot) will reopen on North Williams later next month — bringing back its award-winning croissants just a few blocks down from its former location.
🐟 Feli (Slabtown) is the brainchild of Urdaneta's Javier and Jael Canteras, only this time they plan to highlight dishes from Spain's Basque region later this fall.
🇵🇭 Pamana (Concordia) is moving into the former Expatriate location and will serve "classic Filipino dishes and ingredients and that are personal" to chefs Ethan and Geri Leung.
🥩 Galleria & Grotto (Buckman) is taking over the former Doug Fir Lounge space on East Burnside. Expected to open next month, the two-story concept plans to serve steaks, pastas and seafood towers.
