Public pools across Portland opened last week with a full slate of lessons, open-swim play, lap sessions and water fitness classes.

If you go: Every outdoor pool offers at least one day of free entry (check your local pool here); otherwise, admission is $4 for kids 12 and under, $5 for ages 13 to 17, and $6 for adults. Discounts are available.
Most pools close for the day at 8pm.
