Slow Haste coffee goes permanent at Collector Bar

Popular pop-up coffee bar Slow Haste found a permanent daytime home at Collector, the casual cocktail spot in Kerns that regularly hosts vinyl DJs, starting later this month.

State of play: Slow Haste, known for its unique rotating list of seasonally inspired lattes — like charred strawberry and black pepper, as well as black sesame date and hot rosemary brown sugar — launched at the end of last year and has steadily become a fixture.

The team prioritizes sourcing coffee and treats from hyper-local Portland roasters like Sunday Coffee Project, No Pref and small-batch bakery Luna Pastries.

The vibe: Since Case Study abruptly left the neighborhood in 2021, the new shop will be a welcome addition to the corner of NE Glisan and 24th for coffee fanatics.

It also gives customers the opportunity to hang out in Collector Bar's intimate space, and gaze upon its eclectic gallery wall in the morning sun.

Stop by: Slow Haste (2341 NE Glisan St.) will be open daily from 7am to 1pm starting May 31.
