Where to find vinyl DJ sets in Portland

You don't have to go out of your way to catch an all-vinyl set in Portland.

Here are eight spots where you can find a variety of genres spinning at any time — from hip-hop and indie rock to electronic to bossa nova.

Passenger Seat Records is the perfect place to peruse records while listening to a DJ practice their setlist. You may just hear your next favorite song, and be able to buy it then and there.

Sonder, Listening Bar is for those looking for deep cuts and rare records, but it also throws late-night dance parties.

Collector Bar, along with its sister wine bar Company, hosts Silicon Radio's residency program, so you'll hear a variety of genres from the city's up-and-coming artists.

The Coffin Club, the city's go-to gothic nightclub, is known to play industrial, hard-style dance, acid house and darkwave tracks.

Pink Rabbit is the spot to hang if you want to hear slow-grind R&B under the glow of neon lights.

Chess Club is a niche magazine store downtown, but occasionally has a DJ in its sitting space in the back during the day to help curate the vibe.

Daydream is another dimly-lit wine bar with a knowledgeable, rotating cast of DJs. Great for a date night down on the ever-chic SE Clinton Street.

Process is one of those places where nearly every local DJ passes through at some point. Be ready for a loud, sweaty, good time.
