First-generation American restaurantXiao Ye, located in Portland's Hollywood district, is launching brunch for the first time since opening in 2023.
🍳 Best bites: The menu features a mix of classic American breakfast staples — think griddled banana bread, pancakes and biscuits (blueberry or Chinese sausage and cheddar) alongside a plate of eggs, bacon and home fries.
It also includes childhood staples owners Louis Lin and Jolyn Chen grew up eating, like Taiwanese rice porridge with sweet potato served with an assortment of pickles, ferments and pork floss.
Plus: As for beverages, of course there will be mimosas, juices, drip coffee, matcha and specialty teas.
💭 My thought bubble: The thick-cut milk bread with pandan butter and salted egg yolk has me intrigued.
If you go: Brunch is served at Xiao Ye every Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 2pm starting tomorrow.
You can book reservations for groups of 5 to 7 people on OpenTable.
