Premier tasting menu restaurant Quaintrelle to close

Context: Quaintrelle first opened on N Mississippi Avenue in 2016 and was backed by restaurateur Emily Everett and Lake Oswego duo Sandi and Daniel Wilkens of Hanko's Sports Bar & Grill. The goal was to revamp the space as a gourmet "ingredient-driven" space that partnered with nearby farms.

• When it moved to its current location just three years ago, Quaintrelle underwent another transformation, tapping the late, James Beard award-winning chef Naomi Pomeroy to help the team "level up."
• Executive chef Elijah Rivers launched a newly-developed 10-course, $155 tasting menu earlier this year as a way to adjust to post-pandemic dining challenges.

• Plus: It received national nods for its wine program, led by Greg Cantu.

What's next: Quaintrelle's New Year's Eve service will feature nine courses, with caviar service, West Coast oysters, king crab and Sonoma duck at $300 per person.

• There are also a handful of reservations still open for the regular, seven- to 10 course tasting menu in the weeks leading up to the restaurant's closure.
