That's how many candidates are running for the city council this fall.
Zoom in: According to Maja Viklands Harris, author of Rose City Reform, all these people are vying for the 12 council seats under Portland's new government structure set to begin in 2025.
Three people will be elected to each district.
The most coveted appears to be District 2, encompassing all of North Portland and parts of Northeast, where 21 candidates have filed an intent to run.
What we're watching: A crowded field means it will be hard to stand out without endorsements and adequate fundraising.
