Titans look for original art to decorate new Nissan Stadium

The Titans embarked on a multi-month search for unique artwork to display at the new Nissan Stadium.

Driving the news: The team says submissions are open to artists worldwide, but there will be a strong emphasis on engaging local artists.

Between the lines: A variety of artistic approaches eligible for inclusion, including paintings, drawings, collages, sculptures, mixed media, leatherwork, woodworking, pottery, glasswork, screen-printing and embroidery.

Submissions can be submitted now through July 31. The winning artists will be selected this fall. Compensation will be based on the scale of the work and its placement in the new stadium.

What she's saying: "Art has the power to connect us, to tell our stories, and to celebrate who we are," Titans senior vice president of brand marketing Erin Swartz tells Axios.

"As we build the new Nissan Stadium, we're proud to invite artists to help shape a space that honors the culture, character, and creativity of the Titans and our community."
