Shaboozey joins NYE lineup

Shaboozey will be closing out his breakthrough year with a live performance in the heart of Nashville.

What's happening: The country newcomer, whose smash hit "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" topped the Billboard Hot 100 for months, was added to the lineup for Nashville's New Year's Eve celebration.

Brittney Spencer also joined the roster, which already includes headliners Keith Urban, Jelly Roll and Kane Brown.

Why it matters: The concert, which typically draws more than 200,000 people at Bicentennial Capitol Mall, also comes with a national audience of millions. It will broadcast live as a five-hour special on CBS and Paramount+.

Last year's special was the highest rated country music program of 2023, topping the CMA Awards.

Zoom out: Several other country stars will appear in pre-taped performances recorded around Nashville, including Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton and Lainey Wilson.
