Christmas is still a few weeks away, but the holiday season is in full swing across the Mile High City.
What to know: We've rounded up some of the best ways to make your days merry and bright this month.
π Find the perfect Christmas tree at one of the numerous farms and lots across the Front Range.
- Some of our favorites include Everitt Farms Christmas Trees in Lakewood and Jolly Christmas Trees, which has four locations across the metro.
- With a permit, you can also harvest your own tree from a handful of Colorado's national forests.
βΈοΈ Grab your ice skates and head to the Downtown Denver Rink inside Skyline Park on 16th and Arapahoe streets.
- If that's too crowded, try the 2,400-square-foot pop-up rink on the rooftop of Pindustry in Greenwood Village.
ποΈ Snag tickets to some of the state's top holiday experiences, like the Holiday Train, Camp Christmas or "The Nutcracker" from the Colorado Ballet.
ποΈ Hit up a holiday market for all your gift-giving needs, like the German-style Denver Christkindlmarket in Civic Center Park, which runs through Dec. 23, or The Block Distilling's Housemade Market on Dec. 10.
π€ Give back by volunteering at one of numerous local organizations that need a helping hand.
- The Light the World Giving Machine, a large vending machine that donates to local and international charities of your choice, is open at the Cherry Creek Holiday Market through Dec. 24.
πΈ Pop into one of the city's best holiday pop-up bars, including at Adrift Tiki Bar and Denver Union Station.
β¨ Admire holiday light displays across the city. Some of the top events include the Blossoms of Light at the Denver Botanic Gardens, Luminova Holidays at Elitch Gardens and Denver Zoo Lights.
- Drive-through Christmas light displays are also open at Water World in Federal Heights, Bandimere Speedway in Morrison, and Arapahoe County Fairgrounds in Aurora.
- Don't forget to stop by Hazard's Gingerbread House in Highlands Ranch, which happens to be competing this month in ABC's primetime holiday special "The Great Christmas Light Fight."
