"KPop Demon Hunters" star Arden Cho is one of us.
The Texas native is a big Dallas Cowboys fan, which means she probably also experiences hope and despair for 18 weeks every year.
Zoom in: Cho, the voice actor for Rumi in "KPop Demon Hunters," grew up in San Antonio and Plano.
"I always joke and say that when my parents immigrated to America, my dad was like, 'I'm gonna go to the biggest state.' And he chose Texas," Cho said in an interview last year.
But growing up Korean American in the 90s, Cho felt like an outsider.
"I think I was the only Asian kid at my school, and at that time I didn't really know what that meant … So often, people didn't even really know where Korea was," Cho said on "The Kelly Clarkson Show" this week.
She also told Clarkson that she was obsessed with the Cowboys as a kid.
Zoom out: Cho played the lead role in Netflix's "Partner Track," portraying a New York lawyer navigating relationships and her career.
She auditioned for "KPop Demon Hunters" through a "simple voice note" in 2022. The movie started streaming last summer.
"Who would've known "KPop Demon Hunters" would bring so much joy to the world?" she said after winning an Astra Film Award last week for best voiceover.
