A swanky comedy club with San Francisco roots opens this week at Toyota Music Factory in Irving.
The intrigue: Punch Line Comedy has tapped heavy hitters and up-and-comers for its debut.
Dave Chappelle will be the first performer, with four sold-out shows on Wednesday and Thursday. "Saturday Night Live" alum Leslie Jones performs in January.
What to expect: A proper night out. The club has food, drinks (even mocktails!) and areas to hang out before and after the shows.
Vibe check: Boxing gloves and punching bags adorn the venue's Callback bar, highlighting that comedy is a sport.
Vintage photos from famous comics at other Punch Line clubs hang throughout the venue.
The main room has capacity for up to 240 people. There's a separate area for more intimate gatherings like open mic shows.
If you go: Tickets are still available for many of the shows. Prices range from $25-$35.
