While some people are collecting "I voted" stickers, some friends in Far East Dallas are earning "I Malörted" stickers.
The intrigue: Malört is a Swedish amaro made in Chicago. The bitter, herbal liqueur isn't common outside the Windy City, but is well represented at Goodfriend Beer Garden.

State of sip: Goodfriend has a wide array of beers on tap and a surprisingly long list of mixed drinks. The bar also always has a frozen Malört cocktail.
The current iteration is an homage to Chicago and Wax Trax! Records.

Vibe check: On the best days, the roll-up garage doors are open so sitting inside still feels like being on the patio. Eclectic metal artworks and lighting fill the space.
