Netflix is taking "Netflix and chill" to a new level.
The streaming service is creating a 100,000+ square foot space at Galleria Dallas to offer fan experiences around hit productions like "Bridgerton" and "Squid Game."
Why it matters: Like Disney, Netflix shows have amassed massive fan bases that can be parlayed into a portfolio of businesses, including in-person experiences.
State of play: Netflix is converting former department stores in Dallas and King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, into Netflix House, which will offer immersive experiences around popular shows and films.
The year-round spaces will include themed activities, music, merch and food and drinks.
Netflix says it chose the two sites for its Netflix House spaces because they're two of the country's most popular shopping centers, with hundreds of retailers, high foot traffic and access to major cities.
What's next: The Netflix House at Galleria Dallas will open in fall 2025, per city officials.
