Ringling Bros. brings the circus back

What to expect: The two-hour live show promises classic circus attractions with a modern twist. Acrobats and trapeze artists, yes, but also a Latin dance group, an eclectic soundtrack and a light show.

• You can also catch Bello Nock, a seventh-generation circus performer whom you may know from "America's Got Talent."

Catch up quick: Back in 2017, after nearly 150 years, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey packed up due to declining ticket sales.

• The show "had become infeasible in an age in which video games and cellphone screens compete to provide childhood wonder," the New York Times wrote at the time.
• But in 2023, Feld Entertainment, which owns the circus, revived the show and took it to more than 50 cities — this time with no animals and more emphasis on storytelling and impressive stunts.

If you go: Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey's "Greatest Show on Earth" offers multiple performances Friday-Sunday.

• Tickets start at $30. Kids 2-12 are $20 with the purchase of an adult ticket.
• Parking is free for ticket holders.
