Chicago Cubs get their own MLB comic book

Details: The comic takes readers through the history of the storied franchise, from the notorious Billy Goat curse to, of course, the 2016 World Series championship.

• The team is celebrating the 10th anniversary of that winning season this year.

What they're saying: "Baseball has been the one sport I've loved since I was a kid, everything from the long history of the teams to the rhythm of the game, those quiet lulls broken up by the excitement of a home run," creator Josh Frankel said in a release.

• "It's an honor to combine that with one of my other loves, comic books."

Yes, but: Keep your grubby little fingers off these. All Baseball says the comics are designed as collectibles, more like trading cards than traditional reading material.

The intrigue: No word if current hero Pete Crow-Armstrong made his way into the story.

What's next: The Cubs issue is available now for pre-order at baseballcomics.com. The comics should arrive in October.
