One of the Chicago White Sox's most beloved figures will receive one of the franchise's highest honors this weekend.
The latest: Ozzie Guillen's No. 13 will be officially retired by the organization with a ceremony before the White Sox take on the Guardians at the Rate on Saturday night.
What they're saying: "They made me cry," Guillen said back in April when the number retirement was announced. "Because I know how this moment is so important for my family ... that shows you the White Sox organization care what I did for them."

The big picture: Few people have shaped modern White Sox history like Guillen, who has spent four decades with the franchise as a Gold Glove shortstop, World Series-winning manager and broadcaster.
- He began his major league career with the White Sox in 1985, joining a team led by Carlton Fisk and Harold Baines.
- He became a veteran leader and All-Star on the 1990s clubs featuring Frank Thomas, Robin Ventura and Jack McDowell.
- Guillen returned as manager in 2004 and led the White Sox to the 2005 World Series title.
- Today, he serves as an analyst on CHSN's pregame and postgame broadcasts.

By the (retired) numbers: Guillen's No. 13 joins retired numbers honoring White Sox greats including Nellie Fox (2), Luke Appling (4), Minnie Miñoso (9), Luis Aparicio (11), Paul Konerko (14), Frank Thomas (35), Mark Buehrle (56) and others.
What's next: A statue? It wouldn't be surprising. Several White Sox legends with retired numbers are already immortalized in bronze, making Guillen a plausible future addition.

If you go: The pregame ceremony begins at 5:15pm ahead of the White Sox's 6:15pm first pitch against Cleveland. The first 15,000 fans will receive a replica No. 13 Guillen jersey.
- The White Sox will also donate a portion of the game's proceeds to support earthquake relief efforts in Venezuela.
