Shrimp and chives dumplings and a Buddha beer at Ming Hin. Photo: Monica Eng/Axios
🥡 The spot: Ming Hin Cuisine has expanded to six city and suburban locations, offering 20% off during happy hour everywhere but Chinatown.
⏰ The hours: 2:30-5pm Monday-Friday
The vibe: Bright, airy, elegant and Asian.
🍜 The bites: Noodles, appetizers, stir-fries, dim sum and veg, but I focused on small plates like chive dumplings ($6.45), cold cucumber salad ($6.20) and marinated beef ($7.40).
🍺 The drinks: Lucky Buddha Beer ($5.60), Hong Kong lemon tea ($4.40), and Left Hand Milk Stout and Coronas ($4).
🥟 Perfect pair: A cold lemon tea and three plump chive and shrimp dumplings.
🍹 Seven-word review: Nice spot for a discounted late lunch.
