Chicago's guide to watching the FIFA World Cup

Aside from last Saturday's friendly game between the USMNT and Germany, Chicago isn't hosting any FIFA World Cup matches.
- But there are still plenty of ways to enjoy the action.
State of play: The tournament kicks off Thursday, with the U.S. taking the field Friday against Paraguay.
- Check out the full schedule of the 48 countries vying for the game's most coveted trophy. The tournament includes 104 matches from Thursday through July 19.
- Match times are listed on the web or apps in the user's local time.
How to watch: Games will be broadcast in English on FOX, FS1, and the FOX One app.
- Telemundo will air Spanish-language broadcasts in the U.S., and will air games on Universo, Peacock and the Telemundo app.
- Tubi will show the opening game between Mexico and South Africa on Thursday and the U.S. men's national team showdown against Paraguay on Friday.
