👋🏽 Hey, it's Monica! Have you ever had pizza from an "L" station?"
The spot: Chomp Pizza, where dough-obsessive Travis Hezel serves outstanding slices from a window inside the 18th Street Pink Line station in Pilsen.
The bite: New York-style cheese pizza slices on thin paper plates ($5) made with crushed New Jersey tomatoes, Grande low-moisture mozzarella and a long-fermented dough using Illinois-grown Janie's Mill flour.
The verdict: This thin, crispy, chewy, deeply flavored crust holds bright, tangy sauce and just the right amount of cheese for one of the best NY slices in town and certainly the best under a train.
If you go: Chomp is open 9am to 5pm weekdays and noon to 4pm weekends.
