Carmine's, the Italian restaurant from the Rosebud Restaurant Group, reopens Monday after a years-long renovation.
Why it matters: Long an anchor in the Gold Coast, Carmine's closed in 2023 for what was slated to be a one-year, $4 million renovation, Eater reported.
Zoom in: Located at the far north end of Rush Street, Carmine's evokes classic Italian-American dining with large portions, familial-style service and premium steaks and pastas.
- The remodeled restaurant has a 40-seat private dining area and four season outdoor patio, Rosebud announced in a release.
- The design is meant to evoke a timeless supper club.
- The menu will feature a "return of Rosebud classics."
Between the lines: The Carmine's sign has been up for some months, leading many in the neighborhood to wonder when it would actually open.
