Forever 21, once a beloved staple for Millennials, is permanently closing all of its retail stores nationwide. As a woman in my 30s, Forever 21 was my go-to spot throughout high school and college whenever I needed a trendy dress or the perfect festival outfit.

Driving the news: Early this year, Forever 21's parent company filed for bankruptcy for the second time.
- The chain is closing 15 stores across Illinois.
- It's yet another store leaving Water Tower.
The big picture: The decline of fast fashion and the liquidation of once-popular retailers is an ongoing trend.
What's happening: If you're looking to say "goodbye" before the store turns off its lights for good, this weekend is the time!
- Everything at the Water Tower, Old Orchard and Fashion Outlets of Chicago locations is currently 60-80% off.
- All three locations will close on Tuesday.
