Chicago news/talk radio stations see big ratings jump in January

The rapid-fire news from the Trump administration has listeners flocking to Chicago talk radio.
The big picture: WBBM-AM, Chicago's all-news station, is back at the top of the ratings after the holidays.
- WLIT-FM won big during the early winter months with their all-holiday music playlists, but dropped in January.
Zoom in: It wasn't just WBBM-AM that jumped. Both WGN-AM (10th) and WBEZ-FM (12th) saw big gains in January.
- WLS-AM (24th) also saw an increase.
Other notable winners in January included WUSN-FM, WTMX-FM (The Mix) and alternative stalwart WXRT-FM.
Caveat: These ratings don't break down precisely when people are tuning in or specific listener demographics.
