If you are perplexed about why your father-in-law insists on coming over early for Thanksgiving, you can thank the Bears. They play the Lions in Detroit at 11:30am.
State of play: The Lions are expected to maul the Bears in what looks like a Super Bowl-bound season.
Yes, but: The Bears kept it close in Detroit last year, blowing a two-score lead late in the 4th quarter to eventually lose 31-26.
Good stats: The Bears have beaten the Lions in three straight Thanksgiving games (2021, 2019 and 2018).
- Overall, Chicago is 11-8 against Detroit on Turkey Day.
Bad stat: Under head coach Matt Eberflus, the Bears are 1-15 against teams with a winning record.
