La Colombe features special latte for Hispanic Heritage Month

What they're saying: La Colombe's Jose Aguilar developed the drink and told Axios: "Some of my favorite memories growing up revolve around drinking café con leche with my family. The version of café con leche I enjoyed back then was sweet milk with just a touch of coffee, as my parents were mindful of limiting my caffeine intake when I was that young."

What to expect: I got mine iced because it was one of those 80-degree fall days we've been having. It was subtly sweet, not that artificial cinnamon sugar spike you get with some sweet coffee drinks.

• I love coconut milk, which always tastes smoother than other non-dairy milk, but La Colombe's strong espresso comes through, thank goodness.
