The Democratic National Convention comes to town this week, bringing along political drama, celebrity, protests and, of course, history.
Flashback: One of the country's most notorious conventions happened in Chicago in 1968, and we have the photos to prove it.
- The convention and the subsequent police riot in Grant Park captivated a nation during a tumultuous time. It also has been the subject of countless documentaries, films, television programs and in-depth articles.
Though some police riot photos have been widely distributed, the Getty archive contains unique, lesser-known snapshots of this chaotic period.
