If you can't be in Paris for the Olympic Games, you can at least enjoy French-inspired specials closer to home.
Here's a medal-worthy selection:

The two-story Parisian brasserie is offering three-course prix fixe meals that include Basque cheesecake and tuna-avocado and steak tartare. ($58)
- Available now through Aug. 29.

The Loop bistro is featuring a Vive la Révolution cocktail trio of red, white, and blue gin-based cocktails to represent the French flag. ($16)

The Lakeview bar offers an international lesson in fries, including Irish fries topped with corned beef, sauerkraut, and Thousand Island as well as German fries slathered in Bavarian seasoning accompanied by spicy brown sugar mustard. ($7-10)
- Pair your fries with beer from countries competing in the games while watching them on the bar's 16 TVs.
The French hotel will be broadcasting the games continuously from opening to closing ceremonies at Le Bar and La Terrace while serving an array of French food and keeping a tally of countries' medals in the lobby.

On Aug. 3, this French brasserie in the Pendry Hotel is offering three levels of oyster Olympics over two-hour shifts.
- $39 Bronze: bottomless oysters
- $59 Silver: bottomless oysters and shrimp
- $199 Gold: bottomless oysters, shrimp, crab, and Champagne

Chef Carrie Nahabedian is offering two $20.24 chef's menus for the first person to email her at [email protected] each time France wins a medal.
- The email must include the athlete's name, sport, and medal type.
- Winners also get a swag bag full of French-inspired products.
The Streeterville hotel's "Café Olympique" Tipsy Tea Party will have tea-infused cocktails with a French flair! There are also treats and a live DJ. ($70-$95)
