Now that you've cleaned the house, here's where you can donate your unwanted goods, according to recommendations from Axios Chicago readers.

Colleen Meehan takes her cast-offs to Humble Design, an organization that helps people transitioning from homelessness furnish their homes.

Leslie Brown donates items to Brown Elephant, which has resale shops in Northalsted, Andersonville and Oak Park.

  • Proceeds support LGBTQ+ health care at Howard Brown Health.

Marjorie Isaacson taps into her local Buy Nothing group and online marketplaces like Chicago Freecycle to "make sure the item can be connected directly to someone who wants it."

And, of course, there's always Goodwill.
