This weekend in Chicago, shop local at Green City Market, catch Shohei Ohtani and the Dodgers at Wrigley or celebrate Greek culture.
1. 🍅 Green City Market
Lincoln Park's Green City Market is opening a month early.
Why it matters: "Early spring is the scariest financial time for us, so having Green City Market open in April is our saving grace," Kyle Jacobson, a farmer and GCM vendor, said in a press release.
- The West Loop market opens May 4.
What to expect: Over 60 farmers and food producers, including nine new vendors. Last year's dual-location market saw over 445,000 customers, organizers say.

2. ⚾ Cubs
- See Shohei Ohtani and the LA Dodgers in action this weekend at Wrigley Field. The first 10,000 fans at Saturday's game will receive a Cubs sweater. Tickets start at $21
- When: 1:20pm Friday and Sunday, 3:05pm Saturday
3. 🖼️ "Beyond the Surface" exhibition
- This new art show confronting assumptions associated with intellectual disabilities will be on view at the West Town Chamber of Commerce. The opening aligns with this month's West Town First Fridays programming from 5–8pm tomorrow.
4. 🐀 Oddities Flea Market
- Shop everything from taxidermy to art and jewelry at this two-day market at Morgan MFG in West Loop. There will also be tarot readings, flash tattoos, custom grills, coffee, food, sweets and adult beverages. Tickets start at $25
- When: 1–7pm Saturday, 1–6pm Sunday; VIP admission 11am–1pm both days
5. 🎵 Marshmello
- The multi-platinum EDM artist will take the stage 8pm Saturday at the Aragon Ballroom with Svdden Death. Tickets start at $97
6. 🇬🇷 Greek Heritage Parade
- Head to Greektown Saturday afternoon for this celebration of Hellenic culture including dance performances, traditional food, music and costumes, as well as a marketplace at 300 S. Halsted St. Free
