Bite Club: Oreo cream cheese at Kaufman's in Skokie

On a recent visit to Kaufman's in Skokie, they were out of strawberry cream cheese. It's my fault, I was late. Plain or chive? Borrrrrring.
Yes, but: While I was hemming and hawing, the woman behind the counter asked if I'd ever tried their Oreo cream cheese. Of course, I said "good day" and ran out the door. Then I reconsidered and got a $3.32 container to go.
- And boy, was I lucky I did.
Zoom in: I slathered it on my plain bagel and felt like I was eating cheesecake for breakfast. Or better yet, cake batter.
The bottom line: I don't consider it a substitute for my normal order, but it definitely was a nice departure. So next time, maybe skip the salty chives or the standard strawberry and try something wild.
