The Chicago Sky return home tonight for Game 3 of the WNBA FInals. The five-game series against the Phoenix Mercury is tied, 1-1.

What's happening: It's not too late to hop on the Sky bandwagon. Here's what to know to get up to speed on the best sports story in Chicago.

  • We wrote about her last week, but Candace Parker's homecoming will be front and center this weekend. Adidas recently released a new commercial featuring her and it's pretty kick-ass.
  • The Sky's home, Wintrust Arena, is the new building next to McCormick Place. This controversial stadium was built for DePaul University, but is now better known for being the home of the Sky.
  • Guards Courtney Vandersloot and Allie Quigley have excellent chemistry on the court. Off the court, too! They are married.
  • Did you know that guard Diamond DeShields comes from the DeShields baseball family? Her Dad: Delino DeShields. Her brother: Delino DeSheilds Jr.
  • Along with winning a gold medal this summer, center Stef Dolson also has a gold-star Instagram account.

If you go: Transportation and parking is plentiful, and there are several restaurants around the stadium. But be aware that Sunday's Game 4 will share the South Loop neighborhood with the Bears and the Packers at Soldier Field. Tip-off is at 2pm.
