So far in 2025, 164 cases of measles — including one confirmed death — have been reported in the U.S., according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Driving the news: Texas is home to the largest outbreak of the disease in the last 30 years and the first death in a decade from the highly contagious illness.
In Georgia, three cases have been confirmed, Department of Public Health spokesperson Nancy Nydam told Axios yesterday.
They all involve members of the same family, Nydam said.
