The big picture: The Run for the Roses is held at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky. Undercard races will be held throughout the day, and the main event will begin at 3:57pm.

• The prize purse is $5 million. The winner will take home $3.1 million, with the jockey receiving $310,000. The second through fifth-place finishes will also take home money.
