Seattle's missing October rain has forecasters spooked

It's almost the end of October in Seattle, but somebody forgot to turn on the rain.

State of play: In 81 years of records, Sea-Tac is seeing its eighth-driest start to October — just 0.08 inches recorded so far this month, according to the National Weather Service Seattle.

The bottom line: A little rain could arrive this weekend and linger into Tuesday, but forecasters say the outlook beyond that is "eerily quiet."

🎃 Our thought bubble: A dry Halloween around here? We'll believe it when we see it.
