The Seattle Seahawks starred in their own HBO "Hard Knocks" documentary during training camp — and the footage taught us quite a bit about the reigning NFL champions.
Here are some of our favorite moments from the five-episode series.
1. Big Cat is big into plants. Defensive lineman Leonard Williams says Seattle "calmed his nervous system" after nine years playing for New York City teams.
- The player, whose nickname is Big Cat, is shown tending plants with his wife in his yard, commenting: "This lettuce is going crazy — we need to find some people who like salad."
2. Montorie Foster Jr. can hustle. After being released by the Seahawks during last year's training camp, the wide receiver earned his real estate license and worked as a substitute teacher before joining the Hawks' practice squad late last season.
- Foster continued to work in real estate in the offseason, telling the HBO crew, "I brought my Super Bowl rings to the open houses." In the show's finale, Foster learns he made the Seahawks' 53-man roster for this season.
3. Marshawn Lynch's banter. Former Seahawk Lynch has several funny lines when he shows up to help adjust players' ratings for the Madden NFL '27 video game, including when he questions whether white defensive backs can adequately move their hips.
- "Can I get an internship up here?" Lynch jokes when he first arrives in Episode 2.
4. "I just got peed on by a goat, guys." A goat named Buttercup greets players as they arrive at training camp — but the animal can't quite hold its urine, peeing on fullback Brady Russell, who handles it in stride. "Do you want, like, a paper towel?" someone asks him.
5. Rookies have range. The Hawks' rookie talent show in Episode 4 produced several memorable moments, including safety Bud Clark performing "Mary Jane" and undrafted nose tackle Uso Seumalo playing guitar and singing "No Woman, No Cry."
6. Sam Darnold's spin practice. The quarterback — known for throwing balls with an exceptionally high spin rate — recounts one way he honed his technique from a young age. "I'd be laying in bed with the football and just tossing it up to myself, and trying to see how much I could spin it," he says.
7. See Jadarian Price go. Fellow players marveled at new running back Price's speed and agility during a practice in Episode 1, with coach Mike Macdonald commenting, "Nobody's covered him yet."
- Now we get to see what Price does on the field.
What's next: The Seahawks' season kicks off Wednesday when they play the New England Patriots at Lumen Field.
