The Seattle Seahawks announced Saturday that an agreement has been reached to sell the team.
The new controlling owner is set to be the Khosla family, which includes Vinod Khosla, the co-founder of Sun Microsystems.
ESPN reports the deal is for $9.6 billion, a record price for an NFL team.
Catch up quick: The Seahawks are currently owned by the estate oflate Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, which has been carrying out his directive to sell his sports franchises.
What's next: The Seahawks have a lease at Lumen Field through 2032, with three 10-year options for renewal, NFL.com reports.
NFL owners are expected to meet in late August to approve the deal, per ESPN.
