Fans attending World Cup matches in Seattle can expect to pay $18 for a beer — but that's not even the steepest stadium price out there.
The big picture: Among the 11 U.S. cities hosting World Cup matches this year, the prices for food and drinks vary widely.
Case in point: Beer prices at World Cup stadiums range from $5 in Atlanta to $24.50 in San Francisco.
By the numbers: At Seattle Stadium (Lumen Field), a 16-ounce American beer costs $17.99, while a craft or imported beer costs $18.99, MyNorthwest reports.
- A soft pretzel at the stadium costs $13.49, while a cotton candy costs $11.99.
- By comparison, Seattle Sounders matches at Lumen offer more food items for $10 or less.
What they're saying: Unlike previous World Cups, where FIFA had one concession model throughout all games, this year it partnered with different operators, per a spokesperson.
- "Food and beverage pricing at FIFA World Cup 2026 stadiums is broadly in line with pricing at regular events held at each respective venue. As a result, prices may vary between venues," the spokesperson tells Axios.
- FIFA did not respond to a question about how the revenue is shared among FIFA and the venues.
- A message to Lumen Field wasn't immediately returned Thursday.
What's next: Iran faces Egypt at Seattle Stadium at 8pm Friday — the fourth of six World Cup matches in Seattle.
